Bulgarian Energy Holding launches its energy storage subsidiary - NEO
NEO (Natsionalenenergien operator) is a new company under Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH), focusing on the development and implementation of green energy and energy storage projects. Acting Energy Minister Rossen Hristov said the country needs to speed up decarbonization and introduce green technologies. NEO`s activities are expected to help balance the power system. Hristov emphasized the importance of achieving breakthroughs through electrification, while emphasizing energy efficiency measures. He hopes that Bulgaria can become a European leader in decentralized and green technologies.
Newly installed wind power capacity in Europe in 2023 sets a historical record
According to annual statistics from WindEurope, 2023 will be a record year for wind power installations in the EU, reaching 16.2GW, of which onshore wind power accounts for 79%.
